A plain-English summary of what we collect and what we don't.
The short version
Grocery Smarts is an informational website. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't run an email list, and we don't sell or share your data with brokers. There is no login, no checkout, and no profile.
What we collect
Standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) are recorded by our web host as a side effect of serving pages. These logs are used to diagnose errors and protect the site from abuse, and are retained according to our hosting provider's defaults.
If basic page-view analytics are added in the future, we'll update this page first and we'll prefer privacy-respecting tools that don't profile you across other sites.
Cookies
The site does not currently set first-party tracking cookies. Functional cookies — for example, remembering whether you've toggled a viewing preference on the matchups page — are session-only and contain no personal information.
Third parties and outbound links
Pages on the site link out to retailers, coupon issuers, and product pages. Once you click one of those links, you're on someone else's site under their privacy policy.
The Kitchen Gadget Daily reviews use Amazon affiliate links (Amazon Associates tag grocsmar-20). When you click through, Amazon may set its own cookies under its policies. We don't see who clicks or what they buy at the individual level — Amazon reports aggregated commission summaries to us. See our full affiliate disclosure for detail.
Email marketing
We don't run a newsletter and we don't add visitors to any mailing list.
Children
The site is intended for adult shoppers. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes about how the site handles data, we'll update this page and bump the “Last updated” date below.
